At the moment, my site makes the user tick a checkbox to agree that they are over the age of 13 upon registration. I want to allow the registration of users under the age of 13 so that when they do not check that box and attempt to register it will tell them how to get consent off their parent. I am wondering what sort of things I need to do to go about getting consent, really I have no ideas. I would like to collect the consent via e-mail, so should I just have the user enter their parents e-mail address and then I e-mail the parent telling them I will be collecting the information, and then if they reply saying I can, I allow the registration to continue? Obviously, it is important that I get this right, thats why I thought I would ask here. Any assistance apprechiated, Millar.
