If we make a 4-5 paragraph article and each paragraph is copied from a different article will Search Engine count this as duplicate content? and send it to Supplement Result?
yes, the search engines will see this as copied content. Search engines and programs that check for duplicate content (like copyscape), can find 1 or 2 sentences that are the exact same. I would steer clear from it myself, and not take the chance.
In short, yes it will be kicked out. Plus it will be a horrible user experience with such disjointed information. M
You get many yes answers, but I will say no, not always, it depends, thats my experience. What it depends on, I am not sure of.
Check your articles on copyscape. If they find one copy, remember, Google is pouring lots of money to improve their search, so assume it's even tougher to beat Google.
Having it setup like that on several pages of your site will draw a red flag in my opinion. You have paragraphs of text which are already out there on the net in other stories and on multiple sites. Taking just one paragraph is still duplicate content. Your just taking paragraphs from 3 or 4 sources and joining them. Will make it a bad story/post to read and I believe it will get picked up as duplicate content.
I think that theoretically that's a yes. If you copy entire paragraphs they should detect it. However I've seen cases of pages where only the meta title was changed and that were ranking. The reason is that the site that was doing plagiarism was a trusted site. But I wouldn't risk it.
what about scholarships and financial aid informations? i have a blog which has scholarship informations...there isnt a lot of chance to alter a scholarship offer information paragraph...and i have to copy them either from the university or from else where! so does google have a red light for scholarship information paragraphs too? to add in here: i have seen a lot of sites top 10 ranked on google, yahoo, msn with copied paragraphs like breaking news or something.... for an example, i have spotted 3-5 sites with the same article which was about virginia tech shooting, published from AFP! what about them?
I wouldnt necessarily say so.... how can SE's tell who really wrote the content first, etc. That is a tough one.
this can easily be detected...if copyscape can find it then I'm sure google with all that computing power can easily detect it........
yup yup, it will be detected... if you really want to add some contents from other articles,, you have to quote and recognize where you've got it.. and also limit the phrase that you'll copy... regards!
WOW! Great replies! Thank You Everyone! Conclusion: Yes it will be detected. So it is best to rewrite it in your own words but if couple of lines remain the same as the original is a that a problem too?
Are not only from linking point po view but it also from vistors point of view so if you will mixup 4-5 articles paragraph then will it be sensible ... and yes this will be considered as copied content.............
