    OK, so maybe the kids shouldn't be skating there and they could lay off calling him dude after the first couple of times, but ultimately that cop is a *tool*.

    By keeping his shades on, not making eye contact, throwing his weight around, pointing, shouting, being aggressive... that cop is *demanding* respect and not *earning* it.

    He'd do better to be the cool cop that gets genuine respect from kids rather than tarring the police force with his "got out of the wrong side of bed this morning" and pushing kids around attitude.
