    Thats it :)

Here you have great tip to run your firefox browser faster. It will take up to 60 seconds to setup :)

    Ok, so:

    1. Write "about:config" in address bar (without quotes)
    2. Search for entry "network.http.pipelining" and change its value to "true"
    3. Search for entry "network.http.proxy.pipelining" and change its to "true"
    4. Set entry "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to anywhere from 30 to 50.
    5. Right Click on the page and select New, then Integer. Name it as "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and put its value as 0

Now, pages will load muuuuch faster!

You have no idea what that does do you?

That increases the number of connection attempts to the server - overloading the server even if there's moderate traffic. If everyone did this, half of the internet would go down.

Your broadband speeds are good enough - no need to increase maxrequests to save a couple of milliseconds.

To sum it up: Do not do this. :)

It will not take down any sites, it is just increasing your bandwidth that your are accepting.
Unless your loading a 100mb page then you will NOT take down a server.

1 user doing this will not make a difference - but if a majority of internet users did this, it'd cause a significant drain on the servers.

So instead of making the internet better, you say lets keep people running slow.
You should be providing servers for the latest technology not for what is convenient for you.

Lol, this will not make the internet better, or make your browser that much faster unless you're on dialup.
The difference in page load time is in milliseconds if not less.

And it wont matter if you and your friends do it - just dont like the stupid idea spreading around. ;)

If it was making much difference on your servers would it or would it not push you to purchase better servers.
Their for making the internet better server by server.

    Hey guys,

I use sattalite internet (portable modem) as I'm always moving around, so sometimes my browsing speed dips down and it gets kind of slow. Anyways, I found this on another site and gave it a try and I was quite impressed, so I thought I'd share it here. It's settings for Firefox that greatly enhance your page loading speed, and it works.

    1) Open Firefox.

    2) In the address bar, type: about:config

    3) Find the setting network.http.pipelining. Right-click on it, and hit toggle to set it to true.

    4) Find the setting network.http.proxy.pipelining. Right-click on it, and hit toggle to set it to true.

    5) Find the setting network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. Right-click on it, and hit modify and set it to 30.

    6) Find the setting nglayout.initialpaint.delay. Right-click on it, and hit modify and set it to 0.

    7) Close Firefox, and restart it. Start browsing.

Hmm, I followed all the steps but the last as there was no 'nglayout.initialpaint.delay' in mine.

    Wierd.

I do not have this listed.

nglayout.initialpaint.delay. The other ones were listed and I made the changes. I will go ahead and restart and see if it works since I opened it in another window. If it screws it up I remember the values so I am fine.

Edit: Well I suppose it worked. Seems a bit faster. No harm done that I can tell.
