I just received an email stating that one of my blogs was selected as CSOTD on 5-20-06! While I am very flattered, I am a bit puzzled. I don't remember submitting my site. LOL It is not a Blog that I write to often, maybe a couple times a month. Does anyone have any suggestions as to preparation?
Wow, I just got the same email. Mine will be on 5-24 Not sure how much bandwidth you have left for the month, but you might want to make sure you have plenty. I was about the move my site to another host because I am running out of bandwidth, so this clinched it for me.
I didnt get much traffic when one of my was also selected last month. I was a lot happy and updated 3 visitors trackers - addfreestats.com , worldranking.info and statcounter and saw i got only 300 extra visitors that day. Hope you get TONS of visitors Good luck for that.
Ill, let you know how it does. I did put statcounter on the site, so I could keep track. My host has somehow managed to let awstats go, and it does not even update anymore.
Do add another counter , which tracks the referral stats , as i dont think statcounter provides you this info. Anyway any info about my old friend? Is he fine now?
Well, the results are in. Here are the stats from my CSOTD experience. The day of.. 3,425 page views, 1,596 uniques. Since, nearly 1200 uniques each day, and almost 800 so far today.. This site normally got around 50 or so, so the traffic is at least cleaning out the cob webs.
