That's exactly what I meant dct. Someone out there might know exactly what to do to make UBlam huge and use it to make much more money than it is making now.

It depends on the buyer. You can have a site with no revenue or traffic, but if it has unique content and design, could sell for quite a bit. (which makes sense considering rates for designers and writers)

If you were looking to sell, maybe wait for a big company to make an offer - remember how much myspace sold for...

anyway i think it's a cool idea and am always glad to see stuff from other college entrepreneurs, i'll be adding some sites one of these days

I'm not going to sell UBlam. The problem with selling the website would be that I want to be loyal to my customers and make sure their sites stay on UBlam for about 2 years. So if I was to sell the site, I would put that condition on it.

I want to get the Buzz of UBlam going around MySpace. Any ideas or programs I can use to do that with?

Those are not scripts - they are just GIFs (graphics).

    Hmm..so I won't able to make a push-able miniBLAM for MySpace.

Do google ads pay for impressions? or do they only pay for clicks?

Google normally pays per click, it is possible to get CPM ads if an advertiser selects your site for that option but generally it's CPC based.

I guess I don't understand what you need JS for? Just have a graphic pointing to ublam - what does JS do for you?

So that the button can go in-and-out when you press it (i.e. Pushable not just a picture of a button)

    Got 955 uniques yesterday!

We also reached 100,000 total BLAMs yesterday! Maybe I should've done some special thing for the 100,000th Blammer...

Sorry for this words, but for me it is a rubbish site... like tons of similar sites to yours. Dont tell us your $3 listing is that worth!

I dont like directories, since they do not work at all. And your site IS a directory.

Well actually... My site isn't like all the other sites out there... I get more hits than all of them put together because I have used various ways to get hits on the BLAM button. e.g the widgets (as I have already said if you had read the whole post) : about 15,000 downloads and increasing http://widgets.yahoo.com/gallery/?search=blam - and that's just only one of the ways the BLAM button is getting hits and I do have other plans on the way. And with 111,347 Blams spread over 2000 entries - ie. 56 (and increasing!) hits per $1. I'll leave you to make a decision on whether it is worth it!

And don't even get me started on the looks of UBlam.com compared to others...

Ublam may be "rubbish" to you, but you are not the target market for ublam, so to say that spending $3 to advertise on Ublam is not worth it is totally ridiculous. I spent $10 or so and the traffic I've received is more then worth it. Perhaps you just don't understand marketing.

When the first post about ublam came out, I bought several links.
Got some good hits from all that.

Now this is where Ashkan is shining big time for me:
He decided that my sites were not what he wanted on his site.
    His decision and I agreed.

    And guess what??????????
HE REFUNDED MY MONEY PLUS AN EXTRA DOLLAR!

Did he have to do this?
    Not really...but he did!

Ashkan, my hat is off to you for being a gentleman and a scholar and proving to me, and hopefully to others, that you are an honest person to deal with!

I was just checking my stats for lalalingerie.com. Last week ublam sent 21 visitor and 4.76% converted into a sale. That's a great conversion rate :)!

Are you talking about me or someone else?

If it is about me then I have this to say: Only people with no sense of logic and no argument drop one liners full of clear show of arrogance. Do you want to explain what you mean?

If it isn't about me then ignore the above.
