Interesting. He says that reciprocal links might work now, on some engines, but that in the future the SE's will likely figure out that many links are pointless, and factor that in to the page's quality. Can't say I blame em, either.

Many web design seo firms rank highly on links from there client sites. Saying only relevant links count in Google is clearly false. Links from high ranking content pages whether they are on topic on not helps in google.
