Bandolero: A little too basic and the colors are ugly and dark. zombygeek: Nice but not really unique/identifiable. sheryonline: Nice revision, font and color, we'll see. logoesdesign: Nice concept but not really an icon. pehulz: Nice revision but too much white space for an icon. Kimmeh: Not an icon, too simple. Razi3l: Nice work, we'll see. Agent-X: Nice revision, I like the concept but not really an icon, your other idea is icon-like but I'm not sure I like the concept of the icon, too much going on. TheGraphicsGuy: Yes, love that first font. The icon is a little dirty, needs to be simple, clean and memorable like Razi3l. FaizanArts: Nice, but a little tall to be an icon. deedesign: Very office like, I like the concept but the font on the Q. divineworld: Too simple, not really an icon. daraptor: Love the lighting and depth but I think it's a little too complex for my needs. Something basic and memorable. debayanmitra: What's with the java cup? The design is too basic. MantisArt: This would be a great concept if it was a suite of software, but I just have the one. Not sure how to describe it, perhaps there is too much going on in the icon, it needs to have less colors. logoesdesign: I like this idea, very adobe-esque but because the image is not so basic, it needs to either have more lighting and effects (perhaps gloss) like daraptor, or preferably a more basic image that is aesthetically pleasing like Razi3l. Great work everyone, thanks. I'll be ready tomorrow with a final review and a winner.
logoesdesign: You need to find some more advanced photoshop techniques other then blending options. Custom styles and brushes, things like that. pehulz: Nice concept but not really an icon. daraptor: It is better but still too complex to shrink down to 32x32. Sorry for the delay: Razi3l is the winner for his icon design. His icon won because it was simple, portable, memorable, would look good at any size and has room to evolve. Thanks for all of your entries.
