Converting UV's into sales

I currently get about 500 UV/day to my site that sells a mp4 player, but typically I get a sale or two a day. I am trying my best to find out ways to convert more of these hits into sales and I don't know where to start.

I use statcounter to track the visitors and to get an insight on visitors behavior. Also, I have a feeling a lot of people do not think the site is legitimate because I get a lot of questions asking that.

Here's a break down on the visitor length:

    175 Less than 5 secs
    6 From 5 secs to 30 secs
    57 From 30 secs to 5 mins
    25 From 5 mins to 20 mins
7 From 20 mins to an hour
    21 Longer than an hour

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get people to convert to sales?

If people don't think you are legit then (in my opinion) your site needs a new look. I know if I was a potential customer, I would want to see a clean, professional and modern website, so you can feel comfortable when buying. Other than that, there's very little you can do except get more traffic. I would guess that a lot of the 'less than 5 sec' traffic were clicking on your site as they thought it was info on the product...

By offering more value added service such as lower the price and after sales service

Use Google Analytics to get a better picture of what's happening with your site and adjust accordingly.
