Hi everyone I made an animated header in photoshop and since GIFs lower the quality, I was wondering if there was a way to convert it to flash. I know NOTHING about flash. :\ This is the header: http://rainbowsheep.net/images/gen2/night/header.gif It's not really anything major so I don't think it would be that hard? I could be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
u can import into fireworks and use quick export button (or export) to save animations as .swf alternatly u can export the frames from photoshop (file>export>render video) which will output individual frames as jpgs. you can then use a slideshow make to make an .swf flash file.
I've imported the psd into fireworks, but I don't think its keeping the animation. And when I go to export i don't see swf. :[
I'm trying the image sequence but when I tell flash to import it, it makes the png's really low quality :S anyway to set it to lossless?
yes import frames into fireworks "as animation", select all states in fireworks and use optimization tab/window to set the image format(jpg/png/gif) set to png or 80/90% jpeg then save as swf
You would be better off to use vectors instead of rasters for flash fx... Not saying that rasters won't animate, but soemtimes you can run in to glitches when tweening them.
