Converting Photoshop Logo into a Vector Image

What is the best way to convert a photoshop image into a vector logo?

I have attached the logo to so you can see if it's too complicated or not to get a good result.

 

if im not mistaken you can save it as a vector file in ps6.

 

That would be awesome. Do you know what file extension that would be? I know there are quite a few options.

 

right click on the file and just open it with illustrator. tell me if this works.

 

No that didn't work. You have to convert it to the vector, but it loses the color and some clarity. I believe I saw some tutorials on how to do this but was hoping for something easier.

To make this a Vector unfortunately you will have to redo the design/trace in illustrator. As there is no other way of doing it that i am aware of.

Yes just doing a live trace would do it easily

 

Illustrator is perfect for all type of logo design.
You can use it. I am sure you will like it.

 

It can't be done.

There's all manner of software that attempt to do it, but nothing can compare to having someone redo it by hand in Illustrator. They just can't come close.

Something like that would take me 30 min to an hour and I'd charge $50. You can probably get it cheaper than that on this site.
