Converting mbox to maildir

I'm in the process of moving sites from a server which uses mbox mailfiles to one which uses maildir.

I've moved the mail for 2 sites using this script
    http://batleth.sapienti-sat.org/projects/mb2md/

It works pretty well but when I access the mail via IMAP (thunderbird or squirrelmail) every message from before the conversion shows up twice.

I've checked the files in the message directory and the accompanying courier index file and each message is only in there once.

I'd be grateful if anyone can suggest what might be going on here.

You do not need to convert mbox to maildir format. When you transfer an account from one server to another server cPanel checks the mails format and it converts maildir if it is mbox.

Thanks for the reply but the server I'm transfering to uses Plesk.

Initially I did try the Plesk migration manager but it only seemed to transfer the website files, not any mail or databases.

Edited my post out because you already used the script I was recommended. Sorry about that :). As for the messages showing up twice, did they somehow get sucked into a database backend that's being used by your imapd? That might explain the duplicates.
