I have downloaded some hd videos to play on my video players. After I transferred the downloaded files to my players, it said that unsupported video format. So I think there is a need for me to convert hd video files to other format. Is there any hd video converting device or software I can choose?I have downloaded some hd videos to play on my video players. I use AVS Video Converter, which support convert almost all video format files including HD (inc. AVCHD, TS, TOD, AVI HD, M2TS, etc.). And it is realy a good DVD/video tool for me.
Works well on my Win 7. I got it 1 years ago, and needn't any other software for my DVD with it.

I think Any Video Converter is what you need, I tried to add the link, but failed. You can search it. It is very popular. So it will be very easy to find it.
BTW, It is freeware. Hope I helped you.

You should have mentioned in which format you want to convert so it could have been easier to recommend.

I use FFMPEG on the command line. It's quick and easy.
ffmpeg -i old_video.avi new_video.mp4
Code (markup):
it works for any format.
