    Hello.

Not to happy with my YaBB forum, and would like to switch to SMF.
Managed to upload smf with little problem, but now can't convert my YaBB files over to my smf forum.

There is a converter on the site for YaBB 2, but nothing for 2.1.
I have read a lot of similar requests on the smf site, but they don't seem to be getting any joy either.

    Can anyone on here help?

    Thanks in advance.

The upgrade package should convert anything from yabb to other packages. follow instructions properly.

That my friend is where you are wrong! I know how to follow instructions, and have tried several times to convert.
I have had a smf developer take a look, and he could not do it.
It appears that a YaBB2.1 converter is in early stages of development, and it will be some time before it is available.
In the meantime, does anyone know of a solution to convert to smf?

lokks from what I can see that you're going to either have to figure it out yourself...or wait on that converter...sorry
