Converting existing website content into a new blog content

I currently run a "very" new website and after some marketing attempts I feel it would be better to run a blog instead of the regular website structure I have at the moment.

My problem is that I would like to use the current content of the website and use them as my blog post. However, I currently have just about 128 external links mostly from ezinearticles.com but I don't really know what the implication might be with Google as relate to duplicate content and what this might tend for my site in general.

I'm willing to loose the current external links and start over again but I am afraid of what Google might do to my blog with regard to duplicate content punishment if I should take this action.

What I really intend doing is creating a redirect on all the existing pages linking them to their respective new locations as posts in the new blog format for the website.

I'd appreciate any candid opinion on my dilemma. Should I go ahead or just build a blog and start with fresh content instead.

    Thanks.
