How can I turn a PSD file into an EPS file and make everything vector and nothing raster? I can save it as an EPS but all of the layers are still BMP. The image has 7 layers, and I need it to be a 7 layer EPS file that I can cut vinyl stickers of. Here is the image http://holiday.zerofive.org/img/mainepaintball2.psd If someone could do it for me, it would be greatly appreciated, but it would also be nice if someone could explain to me how to do it. Programs at my disposal: Gimp 2.6 Photoshop 5.5 Adobe Illustrator Ultraflex Thanks for the help!
I checked the PSD and I have to disappoint you. There are no vector layers, only rasterized. So there is no way to make a vector EPS from this, except tracing it of course.
Thank you for letting me know... Is there anybody who is good enough to trace this so it looks almost identical? Or is there a program that can do this?
You can use Corel Trace or AI tracing feature but it's not an easy job if you make it first time. better to hire Pro if you can afford it
If somebody can trace this for me, I can put your link on my website and recommend my members to go to you for any graphic work. Please help me!
Can I suggest that you remake the file at a much higher resolution before you think about printing it out otherwise it's going to be very jagged. Try selecting the area on one layer and creating a path from it. Then do the same for the other layers. Finally, as the paths will be a bit 'loose', tweak each one manually.
You could also go through some tutorials to learn how to trace the image, it will be better for you in the long run.
