Hi Im trying to modify a .mov file so that a section of the audio can be replaced with a new edited version. I have tried converting the file to an avi which works however the .mov file has pauses which are not reflected when the file has been converted. The conversion process seems to remove the pauses and the audio just continues and so goes out of sync. Can anyway tell me; a). Why this happens. b). How to solve the problem and add the new audio... Been at it for 5 hours now and no joy, must of downloaded about 10 programs and converted the file god knows how many times... Any help HIGHLY appreciated... Immo
Depending on the version of your MOV file, you can try Blaze Media Pro. It has a video converter feature that supports MOV conversion. It does not currently support the latest version of MOV though, which may be the problem you're having with other software. (check it out, though, to be sure). Apple has licensing issues with their latest version, and I'm trying to get something sorted out with them so that the latest version can be supported in the next update.
