Converting a large existing site to a CMS

    Has anyone had any luck converting a large 1000+ page HTML site to a CMS. I'm thinking about converting one of my sites to a CMS, Drupal or Joomla! maybe.:confused:

    not that big but i changed two of my sites to Joomla; one with 500+ pages and other with about 120 pages; it was a very long weekend spent for 500 pages

    it's not that hard... it takes a long time to add the content

    Or you could write a short PHP(or whatever you are familiar with) that gets the content of the article and writes it to a file, then all you'd have to do is add the articles. Or if you know the DB/file structure of your CMS well enough you could automate it fully.

    Is there anyway to change without lossing your indexed pages in google and page rankings? My understanding is that some of CMS's will allow you to have static links.
