Convert WMV to...

    Hey guys, I'm wanting to convert WMV files into AVI or MPG. Does anyone know of any free tools to do this with? I know that in Movie Maker you can encode into an AVI. But those files are freakishly large being that they are not squished down with Divx or anything.

    Xilisoft is so handy. You can convert it to anything. Too bad it's $45...

    Do a search for convert WMV files into AVI or MPG, and you will see the best one right there on the top. :) It's not free, though. So, probably doesn't apply in this case.

    My faverite toll is FFmeg/mencoder.
    It free and can convert some format to another format that cover all popular format.

    Many time I use it convert from avi to flv (Flash video) I love this feature so much.

    Just use yasa video converter to convert wmv to avi divx mpeg etc. It works great.
