I have a dating website that gets regular traffic and sales, mostly from articles. Slowly I seem to be getting better ranks in the search engines, but very slowly. Would it be a good idea to just convert the domain (and copy the text) into a wordpress blog with a bunch of social bookmarking plugins?
What about traffic from search engine listings of your old pages, for that matter what about your already indexed pages and links?
It might dilute your home page content if the niche articles were to be mixed.. You may want to consider creating a directory for your blog purpose.
Keep it how it is. Doing that may kill off the current search engine traffic, so you'll be back to square one, and might have to wait for a long while until you get back to the position you are at now.

You can make a blog about this site, but not instead of it. Thats how you will get additional traffic for your site and at the same time you won't lose se's traffics (what could happen if you change your current script into blog). -Ashty
