Is there any easy way to correctly convert VOB files to MPG/AVI, or is the only option to spend money on a program that will do the converting? Are there any free ones out there? I am in the process of copying all my old VHS tapes to DVD, and I want to put the clips as MPG/AVI files on my computer. Thanks in advance.
avi you will get better quality. there are a bunch of free rippers.this is one case where the free ones are better then ones that you pay for. gordian knot is the best ripper.harder to learn then others,but worth it. there is also autoGK (from the same maker) that is easier to use. http://www.doom9.org/
