Convert phpBB database to WordPress?

Hi - I am interested in converting a phpBB forum into a WordPress blog-type setup, so essentially, the phpBB topics/replies become WP posts/comments. Is there an easy way to do this, short of writing a script?

My problem is I would not know where to start with the script writing. I was going to post this as a job, but since I'm new to the boards, I'm not yet allowed to do that. In the meantime, I thought I'd explore the issue here in case it's something I could easily do myself.

I have already heard about the script that converts phpBB into BBPress (the WordPress-based message board system), but I am really interested in making this a WordPress database.

Sorry to highjack this post but I would be interested in having this done for a forum of mine.

I reviewed this service, I apologize for any incorrect things, if so, but I have a hunch that this is just copied service from gConverter.com, seems all main ideas are taken from gConverter.com, when I searched it in google I saw this ( screen image ), seems they have just opened.
What are the advantages of wpconverter over gConverter.com?

ok, but I don't think so about your last red string, I checked their price of "phpBB to Wordpress" service and figured out that wpconverer price (which you provided me via PM) is about 20% much more expensive then gConverter. If you want I can show you a live example.

We will convert any database to wordpress compatible for just 35$ , condition is , the number of entries shouldn't be more than 1500 !

*Our pricing solely depends on the no of entries to be converted and the database structure!

This topic interested me coz I am gConverter customer too, I think they convert phpBB to Wordpress and any other CMS/Forums to Wordpress very well. I asked gConverter.com for service last week, the main reason was hundreds of recommendations and good feedbacks, these guys are really working perfect, I don't think that +/- $5 of other services could convince me to use their service. btw gConverter price starts from $35 too, but I think the professionalism is most important thing. Sorry, but I doubt that wpconverter will be so competent, coz the normal service doesn't halve his price depended on some unknown user posts in this topic.

Guys!... we are not competing with anyone .... may be gconverter are highly professional , and i guess ..they are .. coz they convert many thing and vice versa ..

we only convert a database to wordpress : we are professional only on converting to wordpress -

We are not like gconvereter who are professional in converting many cms to wp and vice versa
