    Is there any easy way to convert YaBB 2.1 (perl version) to the latest version of MyBB?

    The user records and posts were in files rather than a database in YaBB, but I'd like to know if it's possible, or if there is a conversion utility out there.

    Not sure if there is any vbulletin to mybb conversion, but you could convert mybb to vbulletin with impex, and go from there.
