I am thinking about doing a pop up in front of my site that will be an opt in form. My question is: Is it a violation if I use adwords , have it link to a site that has a contact form pop up in front of the site?

I have a small one on the site now but the conversions are very low. Im hoping to get a higher conversion with the pop up contact form. If people don't want to fill it out they can close it and go right to the site. What do you guys think?

A popup is a popup and is not allowed by Adwords. A popup is defined as anything that pops up without user interaction. If you set it up that the user must click a link, this is acceptable.

I don't think this will solve your low conversion problem however.

Don't use popups as the previous poster said.

Why don't people convert? Is your offer not good enough? Do they not get enough trust from your website to buy something or give you their personal information? Or does your usability lack user friendliness?

Forget about using pop-ups. As far as your conversions are concerned, this can relate to many things but if they are clicking through to your landing page and then not converting, you might want to improve the way your landing page interacts with them. Is your landing page super relevent to the ads?
