Hi all! I would be very grateful for any advice on the following: I have a campaign that I am running with both content and google search on and not search network. I have separated bids and bidding 40% lower on content than on search. I have the search position preferenced to 2-8. I currently get more impressions and clicks on content than on search. I have noticed that I get most of the conversions on content (low conv rate but at a reasonable roi to turn a profit) and hardly any on search. I assume my bid amount and position preference results in low clicks and impressions on search (thereby possibly reducing the ability to get a conversion?). As conversions with a decent roi are what matter, I am trying to get conversions up. Do I: 1. Just concentrate on content and increase bids to increase impressions/clicks and hopefully conversions. 2. Increase bids on search to boost impressions and clicks. 3. Turn on search network. 4. Or all or some sort of combination of the above. I would be grateful for some sort of insight or advice. Regards Anwar
Before you do anything else split the content into it's own campaign separate from search. You should never have content and search running in the same campaign.
I think you have lots to learn about content before proceeding. I recommend doing your research before moving forward. While content may be working, due to dumb luck, once you start trying to focus on it you will quickly learn there is an endless amount of traffic that could end up blowing your budgets and causing you to lose lots of money.
