    No Google slap...

Just that I was getting 5 converions/day for the last 10 days and now 0. I increased bid per word and now am getting twice as many clickthroughs but still ZERO conversions.

    Anyone know whats up?

If its a banner make it look good and always ad your site link, if a text ad link just make it keyword rich.

some people dont like to click banners so they will just type link manually that will also save u alittlle cash :) i get it alot.

Gee - I thought this was the GOOGLE ADWORDS forum thread. Why are you referring to banners? It's my Google Adwords ppc campaign in which I am promoting 15 products.

    Banner ads?

Have you checked keywords and bidding to see where your placement is?

Maybe your landing page or server is down?

I'd say look at all aspects of your campaign and if everything is going right, then switch some stuff up....change the ad copy or landing page, etc

I had thought maybe the payment mechanism was screwed up but I made a purchase and it went through fine.

Nothing has changed as far as I can tell. Would someone take a look at it and see for me?

you can do a search on Google for Homemade Wine and it's the ad that has the url "how-to-make-wine.net" - PLEASE DO NOT CLICK THE AD

    just type in www.how-to-make-wine.net

You will find a review site and the top site is mine. I have made sales everyday for the last two weeks and then this past Friday night I had 3 times the sales and then beginning on Saturday AM.... NOTHING SINCE THEN - nothing at all.

Can anyone help me discover the problem?

there can be millions of reasons, you need to research and investigate.

Maybe price has increased or competitors dropped there price.

    Maybe there checkout stopped working

Maybe the products your promoting are out of stock

do some research, if you went from 5 per day to 0 something happened, now its your job to start investigating.

competitors have not changed price --------- check
checkout is still working --------------------- check
products are ebooks - IN stock---------------check

Reaearch you have suggested has been done.
    any other ideas?

doesn't this seem strange with more clicks and more campaigns? I have added 4 more campaigns since Saturday. My existing campaigns are getting twice the clicks that they were on Friday. It almost seems that I have sales that are not being reported. I have already checked that with clickbank and also have clicked on my own ad and made a test purchase. Everything SEEMS to be in order.... but then again.... it doesn't

Yes - thats probably just a slow spell.

As you said, 5 conversions a day isn't a lot, so its probably a niche market, not many people wants to make wine themselves?

not many - just several hundred thousand searches a day....
    maybe that's it

Remember - I also am promoting 10 other products in different niches. They were selling before and now - NOT

I upped my ad spend from about $6/day to $20/day on Friday and it appeared that I got immediate results.... until saturday...and sunday,....and....and....

Anyone care to play detective or devils advocate?

Hmmm, my guess is a fluctuation. You're only getting around 1-5 conversions a day. Now if this was 50-100 conversions a day and now you see 0, then you've got a problem.

I also noted that your ad is listed "on the side" and oppose to "along the top" with the search engine results, those usually get a poor CTR. You're also listed as #3. This is with a search for 'homemade wine'.

Wanna make some more conversions?...try getting the top spot for 'How to make wine' - the guy that is listed above the search results is probably making a killing.

    I just installed google analytics.

Does anyone have a tracking script that shows what visitors are doing on the site? That sets a cookie?

Maybe something like that would help show whats going on

120 clicks a day and nothing? I was only getting about 50 - 60 clicks when I was getting converions

i was once at the casino playing roulette, betting on either black or red. by normal statistics there is a 50 percent chance of either red or black. right? normally i make $20 - $40 simply by pulling out when i'm ahead. but this time there were TWENTY-FIVE black in a row. i lost $300. never happened before but i quit playing roulette for good.

my point is, weird stuff happens, this is probably an anomaly, aka drought, don't worry about it too much, and don't post your ad and keywords here, people will click on it like crazy especially if you tell them not to.

Just a thought - something similar happened to me in the past few weeks. Turned out I had "google search network" enabled in all my campaigns, and google must have changed their mix of "search partner" sites. I started getting more impressions and clicks, but conversions went way down. I noticed my ads were rarely showing on Google itself anymore and had switched to showing primarily on their "search partner" sites (not to be confused with content placements), which are questionable at best. Good luck on your problem.

You should run creatives with variations.
