Conversions are dropping, impressions the same- where to start?

I have a lead generation campaign running and I usually avg over 100 conversion per 7 days.

I check today and I have 5 conversions over the last 7 days. Impressions have fluctuated but no crazy drops. Avg position fluctuated but again nothing sticking out. No changes to the landing page or creative & conversions are being recorded just not enough so I know the code is working. The site has been up and no technical issues.

This has been a really steady campaign so in any pointers on what to look for would be great.

Did you check each keyword? They may have been slapped with higher minimums and you didn't mention if your clicks have dropped or not.

All my KW's are active. I only run on the search network and clicks are still looking good.

Again they fluctuate with impressions but nothing that makes me nervous.

I'm wondering if this is a pattern...here at work, we've been suffering for 2 weeks with AdWords. Same impressions, 0 conversions (we used to have at least 1 per day).

Hmmm that's a tough one if nothing has changed at all on your end, perhaps check to make sure the end site has been up and running 24/7?

Usually an adroup or two may get hit by increased bids and you don't notice until you see conversions dropping, but then again your impressions would have dropped too.

Anyone else seen a dramatic drop in conversion?

Sunday the 23rd and Monday the 24th were my best days yet in terms of conversions. Suddenly, on Wednesday, things started to down turn and today is looking like one of the worst days of weeks.

    I'm pretty frustrated.

You said your impressions weren't fluctuating but what about your clicks? Maybe a competitor created a really good ad and their's is getting clicked on now more often instead of yours. Also, is your product seasonal? I'm guessing you are doing real estate terms. I always see a bad dip in organics and ppc during the cold months for my real estate sites (at least where I live the real estate market as a whole slows down during Winter). Another thing I've seen is that I'll have numerous days in a row where nothing is converting and then all of a sudden for a few days conversions will be off the hook without changing much. All you can do is keep optimizing everything and looking at stats and making adjustment with your campaigns, ad groups, keywords, landing pages, etc. and make it as conducive to a conversion as you can.

Clicks are still within the normal range. If it was a seasonal issue I would expect to see more of a gradual decline. it's like someone turned off the tap.

I am double checking all my reporting & conversion code to make sure.

check out the competition on those phrases.

Maybe a more eye grabbing ad popped up recently that is taking visitors away from you.

Also, even a movement in ad position can make huge differences. It is always good to look at your stats and find what position you are clicked in the most... the make sure you are in that position now.

    good luck

Increase the bid on the keywords which converted in the past. Try using the placement report to remove sites that are just wasting your money. I've been using this method to increase sales and improve ROI. It has proven very effective. Some quick stats: i spend around 100 dollars a day and make about 400$. In the past i was spending the same and making allot less.
