I finally begin to see sales from Amazon. Sold 51 items last month but commision sucks , that's because I sell cheaper items. My conversion is 2.54 % per 100 clicks.

Can I expect to see CR of 2.54 % or even 2.54 % for items that is $500 and more?my traffic is organic and targetted.

Please answer only if you have experience in selling high price items.

    Thx

Your comission rate shouldn't be 2.54%, that is most likely your CTR. Your comission should be 4-%6% depending on number of items referred.

I'm guessing you misread his post. He said *conversion* and not commission as you pointed out in your reply.

@coolcow, I would suggest you start looking into products that will bring in better referral fee - ideally, items over $50 or more.

    Good luck

the conversion rate is usually higher when your website is focused on a specific niche, and you offer amazon products related to your niche site. It is even better that you chose the items to be displayed.

Yup, the fomula more expensive items = more money doesn't work well. It all depends on your niche and if the products you advertise match it. You can easily see a 15% comission rate with the right items, making you alot more than one expensive sale here and there..

You can sell more expensive items (I have a decent conversion rate on software packages) but you have to put a lot of work in. You can't just link to something and tell people to buy - they need more information when the items are pricey.

I hear there's a good conversion on software, but I have never promoted them on my blogs and sites. I will give that a try myself this week and see how it goes.
