    Hi Guys,

Any one know this News, this year " Conversion Optimization Is The New SEO " in 2010. To be sure, SEO is still important and still evolving. There are still plenty of companies that need to adopt its best practices. SEO isn’t dead. But among the giants of SEO, there is a growing restlessness for the next mountain to conquer. That mountain rises beyond the SERP and beyond the click.

So, pls Update me this is True for this year ???

    Thanks for Reply

I will be interested to see if this is true. I do wonder how well this sort of thing can be tracked. I know Google is like the big brother of the internet and has eyes everywhere but surely ranking sites on conversions would be impossible to implement.

Yeah I too am concentrating more on converting existing traffic into sales apposed to trying to get even higher levels of traffic.

good companies focus on conversions all the time, they don't need to be told this is the year to do it. It's their culture. Also, a lot of companies were focusing on this last year during the great recession, weren't buying new advertising, but making the most of what they had.

Yep I read something about a company that Google are in talks about acquiring who specialise in just this. Think how important it is for the credit card companies who pay $15+ per click on google adwords.

Conversion optimization is one of the tough tip in 2010. So search engine personnel must have to come out with some strong implementation of the seo techniques over the websites.

Strongly disagree. SEO and CRO are different things. Both ultimately have objective of increasing revenues, but there is no reason why one has to be done at the expense of the other.

It's hardly a new thing either. CRO has been around for a while; I've seen nothing to suggest it's going to be so much larger than last year.

As I understand conversion was the most important measure of efficiency for almost all site (maybe except those earning from clicking on Adsense). So, I'm sure it's just a marketing slogan to attract attention.
