After a sign-up my "Thank You" page pops up but is at the same URL as the "Sign Up" page....

Is it possible to measure conversion this way? Or does my "Thank You" page (one I track as a conversion... need a separate URL?

Thanks and have a happy weekend!

Nope, your thank you page needs to be a different url if you want to track an action. Here is an example

xxx.salespage.xxx and here is your thank you page xxx.salespage.xxx/thank-you-page.html place your tracking code there.

I hope I answered your question.

That's right. If you put the conversion code on your landing page, you'll get 100% conversion rate. You need a separate page. Mind you, it could still redirect to your original page without the user being aware. But best practice is to let the user know they have indeed signed up, a confirmation.
