    Hi guys,

I recently launched my first product and wanted to ask you if a conversion rate of 0.07% is normal. I sent 170 targeted hits which resulted in 11 captured emails and one sale.

    Thanks!

Yes, that is average. Sometimes it can be a bit higher, like 200.

But that is not to say that it cannot be better.

That all depends on what you are spending to get that one sale and what you are profiting from each sale.

If you are spending $1.00 per visitor ($170.00) and profiting only $25.00 per sale, its not a good ratio!

If you are spending $0.10 per visitor ($17.00) and profiting $100.00 per sale that is a great ratio!

All depends on what you are selling, how much you are spending to get visitors, and how much you profit from each sale. A conversion number (such as .07) means nothing with out know the numbers behind it!
