I'm looking for someone that pretty skilled with affiliate marketing to possibly answer a question I have. This also might help other affiliates. Well say you have a QS across the board that is at GREAT, so you know your ads are performing as well as the other affiliates and your getting GREAT click cost. Now say you are still not profiting off an offer, but there is 2 other affiliates that are running their ads night and day bidding on the same keywords, and their is only one reason to why their doing this for because their making money. Now I did the math and for me to be able to profit at 100 percent I would have to get around 5-6 conversions per 100 clicks and right now I'm only getting 1-2. Now would you say that's realistic to have 5-6 conversions on a membership sign up sites? I'm thinking my landing pages are not that good and that's why their able to sustain becuase their landing pages are converting 4-5 times higher then mine?
If your QS is great, keep gradually lowering your bids. If you see the same guys bidding in your niche and you have a feeling they're making money, it's probably because they've been at it for a while and have been able to lower their bids extremely low and make more of a profit. The longer your campaign is running, the more history it will accumulate, and if you keep a steady CTR and Great QS you can bid very low.
Well that's what I thought. I've spent 8k into this campaign and carried a GREAT qs for a long time now and it's still running high. I'm only able to drop my bids down to ~1.25 other then that it falls off the front page. I'm thinking it's becuase they have a WAY better conversion rate. That can be the only thing left.
If under 1.25 is pushing you off the main page with great QS, my first instinct tells me those other guys are definitely outbidding you or have some INSANE campaign history. Is it a highly saturated/competitive niche or keyword?
nah... I think it's their landing page converting at around 5-6 percent. I talked with some guy the other day that does around 5-10k a day through affiliate commissions and he said my CPC cost was fine. He said it was probably my landing page. I'm getting a new landing right now as I speak. So how much affiliate marketing do you do?
why not set up a test with multiple landing pages to track the results? 3 different pages, test each page twice. look at the results and choose the best page. might be worth the time and effort...
