ContextWeb as an Adsense alternative?

Anyone have any experience with ContextWeb?

    http://www.contextweb.com/Corporate/publisher/publisher.shtml

One huge negative is that you forfeit your revenue for any month that you fail to deliver a minimum of 50000 impressions.

It may be suitable for someone who has lost their Adsense account. Any opinions?

I did have account with them and to tell you the true CPC is great, they run Findwhat ads.
Negative thing is that they closed my and 3 other webmasters account (that is what I know) without any reason and mail, simply account was susspended. After a phone call with some of CEO he assured me that it was system error on their side (same thing with other webmasters) but nothing was changed.

So in short their service looks to me like ripping webmasters and Findwhat, and keep money for them self. I complain to Findwhat and they stopped payment for revenues generated from my sites and thru ContextWeb.

So in conclusion you are welcome to try but be very carefull about payments.

Could someone please explain why this thread was moved from Adsense to Marketing - Pay Per Click Advertising?

This has nothing to do with marketing your site. It is intended to discuss an compare an alternative to Adsense with Adsense.

I did a search on ContextWeb on this board before posting and found nothing. This is a program that I would like to know about and may be useful for others as well, but I believe that it is more of an interest to Adsense users than PPC users.

I discovered the ads on a major website (myresortnetwork.comm) and am surprised that it has not been discussed on DP before.

I am not complaining, just trying to discover the right place to post a topic that doesn't quite seem to fit anywhere.

    Thanks,

    Roger

I gave them a shot two weeks ago and found that they consistently pay .08 per click. The statistics show that I actually made .16 per click, but the split is half.

I have tried this on 10 different sites, all different areas and always it came back .08 per click.

A site that makes $70 per day in adsense brought in $3 on contextweb.

The ad layouts are awsome and exceed adsense, but the payout just is not there.

Just an FYI to anyone searching DP for contextweb.

To me that's a real bad sign. Kind of like the company motto, "We cheat the other guy and pass the savings on to you."

I had a terrible experience with Contextweb. We delivered them consistent traffic for more than six months then unexpectedly they suspend our payouts and then accuse our firm of click-fraud. We contacted them to try and resolve the issue but when we agreed to unsuspend our account they never got back to us.

So they tooks some money from us, agreed to try again, then ran off.

Conclusion : Always stick to companies that have sufficient media coverage to have something to loose if their reputation is affected...

ContextWeb seems reasonable for a site with a lot of traffic. But with programs like that, they can suspend you at payout time for no reason.

Dont go for context web , they does not have a appropriate marketing value, that means they are not trustable
