http://www.contextweb.com/Corporate/contextad/contextad.shtml text links inside articles... I have seen them for a while now, years maybe, and now this people patented them. Why are they not that popular? are they just too anoying?
I think they're not all that popular because no one is talking about how much money they bring in. When Adsense came out everyone talked about it. Now everyone uses it.
Could be because they have a BIG company backing the idea? And Contextual Links are not as well marketed as another advertising solution.
If people made a lot of money with that contextual link thing I guess more people would be talkinjg about it though. Personally, I've clicked on plenty of Adsesne ads, but never one of those in text things. I'm in the middle of reading so why distract myself?
Unless of course its a word that is alien to you and you would click it to see a meaning or reference of what it means... But then that would work if it was a dictionary.... Imagine... if someone was to register the word "YOU" or "THE" for a contextual link the whole article would be filled with it. For that, jim I see your pioint
looks like a cool idea, maybe they just aren't being very assertive about getting the word out to get people to want to use it?
Please can someone help me.....I am looking to enable contextual advertising on my website but have no idea about how to go about it. Any help or info would be appreciated. TW
Contextual Links means the same as Links right? As what i understand, contextual links are special types of links found within a webpage with an article. Please clarify me.
