I am about to embark on a structured linking campaign. I'm looking to get links from related blogs. I am wondering whether, in general, links inside a blog post will be more powerful than links in the blogroll. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated! I'm guessing there isn't a whole lot of difference and it depends entirely on the site, but I like to gather some feedback from people who have tried and tested these techniques before I go ahead Thanks in advance
Contextual are better because looks more natural. Google already knows that 99,9% of blogroll links are reciprocal or bought.
if it is a relevant site, then blogroll will work better. if the site is not totally relevant, then get the blogpost will will atleast give you a link from related post
Actually the best linkbuilding strategy is to use different types of links. But the most of them should be contextual and if the website donor is really relevant - you can get blogroll link
In my opinion if you are planning to increase PR go for blogroll and if you want to increase serps go for blogpost.
thanks for your replies. blog post's tend to be cheaper so I will go for these - I also think contextual links are superior.
Also remember that blogroll links are from every page of the blog, while blog posts links are only from the respective blog posts.
