So a while ago I acquired the rights to a bunch of Low-Carb recipes. I didn't do anything with them immediately because I figured that although I personally like low-carb, it has become somewhat passe. Long story short, I got off my duff and started posting them to a new site. While doing that, I was cleaning each one up, correcting, improving, etc. and I came across one really sad recipe. The thing about certain types of diets that rely on forbidding one certain thing is that people always try to find a way to substitute something else. You see that a lot in Low-Carb recipies. Can't use bread crums? Use powdered pork-rinds instead. Can't use potatoes? Use turnip or cauliflower. Well, that one recipe was for tacos. What can you substitute for a tortilla? Well, actually any of a number of things, but the poor soul who created this recipe decided on SALAMI. Ugh. As I was fixing it, I couldn't resist the urge to rename the recipe. Now instead of "Salami Tacos" it is "Salami Tacos (Make Baby Jesus Cry)". I know, I'm such a smart-ass. Once I started, I just couldn't stop, but my ideas are starting to stagnate into all sexual innuendo (Ron Jeremy's Italian Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms). Not only is this fun, but it actually differentiates my site from all the other Low-Carb sites out there. So anyway, I'm running a contest for crazy recipe names for recipes already posted. But - the only prizes are bragging rights and credit, with one linkback to your site of choice from the recipe in question. My current favorite is "Chili fried prawns of the glorious revolution". So scour the site: Healthy Low-Carb Recipes for recipes with "plain vanilla" names, and PM me here with the current permalink url of a recipe, your new name suggestion, and the site you'd like a linkback to. Really outstanding suggestions will get put in this thread as well. Please keep the suggestions PG-13 at worst, keep the perversions oblique, OK?
D'oh! Still getting used to the new subdomain. I fixed the url in the first post. It is http://lowcarb.health-hack.com, not "low-carb" with a hyphen. Thanks for the heads-up!!
