Contest - Logo - My blog - $50 prize

This contest is for a logo for my personal blog... the one I spend most of my time on, my baby...

The website is called "The" Holiday Blog, and the url is http://www.festivityblog.com

    What I want:

A web 2.0 style logo with bold colors. I want the logo to represent the idea of my blog... its about holidays, summer, festivities, parties, and topics like that.

I would like this logo to be integrated into a header. Try to make it blend into the header, so if I change themes and the header size changes I can just change the background and it will still be fine.

I would like the logo to maybe have an FB as well as say Festivity blog... so the logo could be a fun web 2.0 FB and then the words with it. It doesn't have to be an FB, it could be just a fun icon that works well.

The theme colors and background will be changing each season, so don't base your design off of the colors that are on the web page.

Let your imaginations go and come up with something I will love and can put on t-shirts etc.

I would like the PSD and also want this to be in vector form so I can resize/rescale with no distortion.

This contest will run 1 week. It will end on Tuesday, June 23rd. I want this to be a week long contest because I want to give feedback and I want the best designers to have time to get in on this.

I will give feedback at least once each day until the contest has closed.

Like I said at the beginning, this is for MY personal blog so I will 100% be choosing a winner and paying via paypal.

Ploomer: Good design. I am not sure about colors... thinking red would be better in there somewhere. Also, try making it shinier... I like shiny. The font seems technical... like digital almost... not sure I like the font 100%. Great design and idea to start with sir, thanks!

VictoriaAnn: Excellent. If there's a way to remove the line from the circle and put an FB in there so it looks like indented into the ball it would be top notch and head of the pack :) If that would take too long, just leave it, its still a good submission

I'm not sure entirely what you mean - the darker shade is an abstract 'F'...I'm afraid anything else will really be too time consuming at this stage. :(

    A Normal Festivity Version.

The idea is that you can easily decorate this thing up. I will design the logos for all yearly events for you. And you can use them easily enough. However, if you don't want this look, let me know and I will go for the usual professional touch.

Blastdamage: not really what im looking for... not fond of the font or the design, thanks for your entry though

Xavier: thats a good design, good colors. Can you make it a bit shiny/glossy and maybe change the FB in the box to look more like a logo than just the letters fb?

Xdexter: its a little too plain... not sure I like those colors or design, thanks for entry

Thanks for all the entries so far, keep them coming!

Xavier: I like that better. You could try connecting the FB together in the box to make it a logo instead of the two letters... the second horizontal line on the f would connect perfectly to the loop on the b if you see what im saying

Mantis: thanks for the submission! I think it doesn't look brandable really... like you wouldn't recognize the FB as festivityblog if you were to see it over and over again it will still not remain in your head as the festivityblog logo, if you get what im saying...

Hazrd: good entry and cool colors, but I think it might be a little plain

Ploomer: great revisions! you are definetly in the runnings for this one, thanks! If you wanted any suggestions, I'd say make the edges of the FB look like super shiny... that would look really cool. Can you think of any way to make the B on the FB look more like a B? it makes me think of 3 a little bit?

Thanks for all of the great entries guys!
