Contest Contest: Header for website and e-newsletter $30

Need header for service-disabled veteran-owned website and e-newsletter:

Current newsletter is send as PDF. We will be sending digitally when we have new header.

Owner likes what he has (see image), but it needs a designer's touch! Neither he nor I have much money to invest until we get some sponsors so we're looking for help from someone that does great work and is willing to do this for $30.

Contest will last until Monday 6pm ET.

The emblem is the official US Gov SDVOSB emblem so it should remain the same although we need a crisp version. We don't need the publication issue# date, etc... in the header.
I think we may be best off using the same font used in the SDVOSB emblem so it works together.

If you borrow the idea of the cutout in the middle, at least cut it so that it is sharp and no pixels are seen... And align VetLikeMe in the middle of the line. And leave space after ",".

 

Why are you false accusing me? I saw yours when I was about to post, I don't mind on post, just the main thread. If you do something that other people can do too it's not my problem. Also mine has a low gradient on the two blue things. I've got all saved on psd files so I don't have to worry about that.

You saw my design just when you was about to post? Then how can you explain this: when I put your "work" on my own without any resizing/adjustments, your size of the lines and your size of the logo perfectly match mine: http://gaidukas.lt/design/banners/wouwou.png
And the sizes in my design aren't the same as in the example provided by the thread author, so the only way you could achieve them was by copying my work. By the way, all you managed to do is adding a gradient (which does not really fit here) and a stroke around the lines. And when you did the stroke, you just cut the lines out of the white background (I can see this from you sloppy use of Magic Eraser Tool: this is why the pixels are visible on the sides, either you didn't use anti-aliasing or selected wrong tolerance, or sometimes it is just how eraser works)). Personally, I wouldn't care to point out this shabby action, but what got me was your irrespectful statement "Better this one, that one of the man have a mistake".

You are meaning that you are the only one who does it well? Maybe that was a casuality. But I've put a bar, and after that I've cut it by a circle, that was how I did.

Please italicize the VetLikeMe.

 

Pretty nice! Lose the extra "s" in business and place an "s" after Owner (should be "Owners"). No space between letters in VetLikeMe. Thanks for the entry.

 

Thanks for the entry King8. I don't like the oblong circle or the handling of VetLikeMe. But, I do like the effort and entry. You have to start somewhere....
