ok lemme get straight on point,

There have been lots of new people coming in the contest section (I talking about the people who post jobs) which is actually very good. But this has also been very sad part because most of people make a new account and post some contest, people start entering and post there entries, the guy who posted the job never responds back and get dozens of designs and other shits. There have few scamming cases also (which is pretty sad).

So a small suggestion :

Do not allow people to make a new thread in contest area unless and until they have like 3 iTrader or have around 100-150 posts. This will surely help all the designers and lower the spammer or scammer rate.

I think you are right. Its the easiest way to get some good logos for your site. I give a vote up for this suggestion.

Hope all the designers will support you. Because, none of the designers are happy to see their work stolen. In some cases, the CH will ask for all revisions and will just vanish.

But the thing is that I have seen even some reputed members do the same..

But your suggestion will definitely help us in some way.

But to tell you people from my heart:

DigitalPoint has become very popular and so most of the people just enter to grab some cash out of this.

They are not professionals and with the things they know, they just post some crap and spoil the thread.. Even if we designers decide not to post designs on members without reputations, they have designers who can even offer designs for them

Maybe an expert in here can share how to stop this.. Hope we get a solution

pre-paid contests will work awesome, but that might be to much of work for all the mods and admin

I hope nothing is gonna work until people realize what they do is wrong! At the most, the designers needs to suffer all the time

 

You can protect yourself. When you know creatives can be copied/ used easily and unsure about payment, why to enter those kind of contest. Invest the same amount of time where your creatives are protected and assured contest. May be there you'll face more competition but you'll definately not regret.

 

Definitely sir. I started doing that.. I just post in contests which I feel is guaranteed
And, I concentrate on my thread too
But, feel bad to know that there is no stop for these kind of contests

 

We can certainly take some initiatives and help all the designers.

 

I absolutly agree as I´m tired of members opening contests, they let designers work, asking for changes in their designs and then disappear away without announcing winners. Some of them do it just to get ideas,promote their site or business, for fun, or even they take designers works without paying. There should be stricter rules and they will consider next time if open a contest or not.

@nunulka- you are absolutely right. I have seen many contests ending in the same way.

I could also see designers submitting their designs without their watermark and in the transparent background. Aren't they really aware of what is happening here or they want to provide the CH a real playground? We should make something here to make a big impact..
