To be honest, it wouldn't be too difficult to predict PR. Since it's a 10 point system you already have a 10% chance just by guessing. Then you can eliminate PR6-10 as unlikely, leaving you with almost a 20% chance of just guessing right. I don't really want any PLR products or I would enter your contest.

I like the logical way you think.

Actually the whole purpose of this game (should not call it a contest) is to eliminate some myths on Pagerank and the wild guess of the numbers of backlinks you need to gather before reaching x amount of PR.

At the same time, I hope to eliminate the so call PR calculator software/ website in the market, because I doubt if there is any accurate one available, except Google itself, like what Luke says.

It is not possible to tell how Google gives PR. But for guessing PR it is very much possible. I have 2 PR4 blogs which I have calculated to get them PR4.

Very difficult. Too many factors come in play for this. Without knowledge of the Google algorithm, it's just a guess.

Plus, which PR are you talking abou? The toolbar PR or the real PR that google assigns to the pages that we never see?

I am at page rank 3 for my free classified ads site http://www.jihoy.com, 930 backlinks. Hopefully get safely into page rank 4 by the next update. I think this is fairly accurate.

Only Google can give you the right answer. Others are just pretending to know.

I just replied in a comment in your post. You need to give more details on what type of backlink you have there. Is it on page or sidewide? How long the link will be there?

Again, this is only prediction as pagerank is very sensitive to dofollow paid links. If google can find one similar type of links, it can slash the PR, even if it is in PR6-8 or PR10.

    Thanks Atniz,
I couldn't find your comment in my control panel. But still appreciate your comment. This quiz is just for fun and hopefully there are some lessons learned along the way.

We have one winner who guess it right.

    Read the result here:

Thanks all for taking part :D

Feel free to comment why you think the site deserved such PR with such little backlinks?
