Anyone have any thoughts on what SEO implications there would be, if any, of having rotating text inside a php include? Would google bots view it as fresh content if they see different content on a return visit? I'm going to be randomizing content anyway for a different reason, just had a wild & crazy thought that it might affect SEO. FYI, there will be mostly static content on the page, not all of it will be randomized.
Randomization? Like something with javascript? That, perhaps, but as far as php includes go, they do not hide anything from SEOs. That what you're asking?
Thanks, Audentio, you answered the first part of my question, which was whether or not php includes are crawled. No, not using javascript to randomize, only php. The second part of my question is, if SE bots come back on subsequent visits and there's new content there that *wasn't* there on a previous visit, is it viewed as fresh content...? So randomized content would be good for SEO, right? Clueless But Curious
HI ... php includes , randomized, will be seen as new content on a page. Spiders can not see the source of a php file... But you need to make sure the randomize contents suits the rest of the content on your website... Other wise it is a waste of time... Thanks Tom Dahne
