what exactly do you mean? how much money has come from websites that provide content or how much money has come from providing content?

If you mean writing content -- then you're writing needs to be good and CLEAR if you want to make decent change. There is a lot of competition out there and only so many that stand out.

content writing need a great command on international language and a good experience of web browsing. One must know about market that what going on there. Then one can write. You must go first for searching more and more than you find how people are selling their products and what are the demand of the market.

    best,

    Zubair.

I think Gladiator wants to know if content writing brings in money.

The answer is yes and no.

Yes, if you write targeted, high-quality content.

No, if you have problems with writing basic English.

If you write well, and market yourself well, you can win. But there is a lot of competition out there.

I recommend setting up a blog and start writing about things you know about all ready. When you write a new blog post regularly, you build the content on your blog and people are able to find you when they make a search on the search engines. The content you write must be of high-quality, it must be original (not scraped from somewhere else) and it must also have "a market".With this I mean that people are actually searching for this kind of content online.

The money comes from the monetization you have on your blog. The easiest way to do this is by adding Google Adsense text ads on your blog and you will earn for every click.

You can get a free blog at blogger.com, and after you have written 10 articles you can apply for and adsense account.

sites like associated content, will pay you on a article based or view based setup.

You can bring home a weekly income in a day if you submit a number of articles all together that are good content.

For starters, you start out at a low rate. I'd say less than $0.01. As you get iTraders and people start realizing you're a great writer without even asking, then you can start raising your prices. Buy in bundles, so that you get more people satisfied at a time. Make sure you have review copies available, and that you can have samples available immediately. Good luck!

    shorter sentences, words and paragraphs
    one idea per paragraph
concise text - half the word count (or less) than writing for print
the inverted pyramid style, putting the most important point or the conclusion first.
    simple words
objective language to build credibility, rather than exaggerated claims or overly promotional words like "great", "tremendous" etc.
    bulleted lists
highlighted text (bold or color, also hyperlinked text) for scannability
meaningful headlines and subheads, avoiding cute or clever lines
