Hello everyone, I'm Srikanth, a freelance writer. I have been writing for the past 6-7 years, over a wide variety of topics. I write on topics that include Transport, Household appliances, home improvement in general, as well as product reviews. I also write press releases and news articles. I have edited the English Wikipedia for close to 10 years and have managed to bring several articles to the main page. I would assume that this would suffice as evidence of my writing skills. I write fiction, and am competent in writing short stories as well as rewriting existing content. The rate will be 1USD for 200 words, there is no limit on the quantity. Payment via Paypal only. All articles will be written as per given specifications, will be error free and original content. Please send me a Private Message if you wish to hire me. You may also engage me to do your work on iWriter or elance. Thank you.
Sorry to say it buddy, but with that kind of experience, you're pretty much *lowballing* your rate. I PERSONALLY THINK YOU SHOULD CHARGE WAY MORE. Anyway, I DON'T intend to hijack, spoil or derail your thread. Good luck.
Such is a great experience you have. I am wondering when I will kick my 6th year. My worry is, with the cheap rates that have recently watered the content section, will writing come to an end? I am just wondering, and I believe there are people out there who have the same thought as I do.
For how many years have you been in the writing industry? Subtract that from 6 and there's your answer! It's that simple! 'Will writing come to an end'??!! Geez! D:< :O There ARE some folks who have the same thoughts, but the reality is better-paying work IS there. Just that you're not able to see it. I have said this many times before - if you stick your view EXCLUSIVELY to freelance job boards and forums, you'll get more and more depressed. Most of the business that goes on there is low-priced. Top-paying gigs are never or seldom advertised. You have to find clients paying in higher brackets yourself and contact them directly. Many of them don't even know their portal needs new content! You have to remind them about it and follow up with them. There's a lot of high-paying work out there. You need to change your outlook to be able to see it. Pretty much figured that out. I bet a writer with the kind of experience you've can't afford to work FOR LONG at the rate you've quoted. Just my view. DON'T mean to offend or hurt anyone here. Cheers everyone and good luck.
