Content? What is GOOD content?

I read a lot about content is king and that a site with a lot of unique content will be better placed in SERPs etc

I am confused what is considered 'good content'.

What is considered "good" unique content?
How much content should there be?
Is it about quantity of text?

    Thanks

I think I was talking more about what the search engines consider good content.

I think I have good content on my site and so do most of my clients but to get the site ranked higher I need the search engines to think so too!!

Are there any tips or tricks to ensure that the content is 'acceptable' to Google?

I think he want's stats like:

    X number of words.
X% of main set of keywords (4 words)
X% of main set of keywords (3 words)
X% of main set of keywords (2 words)

    Just a guess.

Think outside of your box. What's going to help your site rank higher is doing exactly what genkie said. You'll create quality content, but what is overlooked in that simple statement is that you will get inbound links (alarms should be going off in your head right about now) to the quality content.

To expand on what genkied said, I suggested posting something called "Pillar Articles". I learned about these from Darren Rowse. He said :
