Selling Content Website - No Time To Launch

    Hi there,

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Josh MacDonald. I'm the found of Keyword Scout. Keyword Scout has sold a lot of copies in the past 30 days. With all the sales to process and questions to answer, it takes up most of my ideas. That said, I now don't have time to launch my next idea.

My goal was to create an automated solution for the high demand of content and articles, and to make money off of it. Being the owner of Elite Web Enterprises (another $xx,xxx project of mine), I am familiar with offering services. Unique content on your website has been something and will always be something that is in demand from webmasters because visitors and search engines love unique content. Autoblogs are dying because Google is no longer ranking autoblogs. My micro niche service was something that came and gone, so I was out to find something more stable, and I realized content services have been around forever, because the demand of content doesn't change. So I had a script made (for $2800). The script was great, and I still am proud of it. If only I had a twin or someone close to me (in real life) to launch it for me.

This script has 2 sides to it. The buyer side and the freelancer side.

If you're a freelancer, you register on the website. You must provide a sample article, then the admin will grade your quality. Your quality will depend on how much you're paid. Once approve, you may start accepting articles. Once you write an article, you turn in your work to the control panel.

If you're a buying client, you pay for your articles, and choose your quality. You wait until your articles are complete, then you are emailed when they are complete. The process is the same as any other, except it's all automated for the owner. No project manager is needed.

I spent $2800 to get this developed, and don't have time to continue. It's a shame to have to sell it, but I don't have many options. I'd be willing to let it go for $1500. The reserve on the auction is under $1000.

    Good luck.

How does the site make money? Do you charge the buyers?

Let's say the buyer buy 20 articles at $4. That's $80. That freelancer only gets 40% or so of that. So you keep $35 or so from the sale.

The script has some glitches in it... For one, you can't paste the article submission to your form with FireFox because of security certificate issues. I then tried to do it with Internet Explorer, and the site wouldn't let me log in. I guess because I stopped half way through registration process because of Mozilla issue?

So I tried to register with IE from the start again, but it wouldn't let me. There is no error information on the form to tell me what's wrong. It only reloads as a fresh form and I have to fill the content in all over again, but it never lets me past that part of the registration?

Hi Flash Junky, I'be been testing it a lot, both on Firefox and Chrome. Never had those problems on my end. I've put the final milestone payment for my programmer on hold so all bugs can be fixed then I'll pay the remainder. I'll forward your message to him and it will be fixed/added.
