Content vs Backlinks - Whats better?

Just wandering, What do you believe is better for SEO, Content or Backlinks?


Appreciate your opinions

 

I would go with content.
Links will be automatically developed if you have quality content. So my vote is for content.

 

I Also Prefer the Content and Also Good Content and Relevant Quality Back link is Useful for Ranking.

 

I would say both are good to have but i guess my vote would go for content.

 

Content must be treated better but according to my experience content is nothing without backlinks.

 

Content is very important. Back links doesn't help much when the content is not good.

 

Consider this: If you have the best content in the world, you can still fail to rank in the SERPs. If, however, you have the best backlinks, you can easily rank well. So IMO backlinks are more important.

Having said that, content makes the process of getting backlinks easier. Also, the more content you have, the more chance you have of ranking for a variety of keywords, especially long tail keywords. More than half of my traffic comes from long tail keywords that I haven't optimised my site for - I simply wrote content around those keywords.

 

Getting on the page for the content can last you longer than getting to the first page by only link building.

For example if you have 100 quality articles with n amount backlinks you will long for more time on the first page then by getting to the first page on backlink building with copied or crap cheap articles.

I prefer the complex startegy. Both content and backlinks are very important, but never forget that just good content is worthy to get backlinks

 

Both are good. The only thing with content is that you should write solid contents and hope that a well known blogger or site see it, to help to spread the content. If you write solid content and no one sees it, there is no way to get natural backlinks.

 

A good content is better. Have the keywords of your content in a good manner on each of your pages using HTML, not flash, and it will help more than backlinks regarding SEO. But if your competitors are using the same keywords on their content, expand your the SEO by using backlinks. There are several more ways to expand the search too.

 

Backlink is only meaningful regarding Seacrh Engine. Good content helps attract more clients to visit your site.

Both are important. If you just put contents that is not good. If you just do backlinks that is also not good. Both on same way is good.

 

both are important and one cannot do without the other. one is part of onpage optimization and other is offpage. unique content and proper kw placement is important so that google can define your neighborhood as to which category or theme your site belong to. and you need backlinks form that relevant theme sites so that you rank high for your given kw

 

Good content. I mean if you rank number one for a certain keyword or phrase but your content sucks then you'll never get returning visitors. The most valuable visitors are those who return.

 

Content of course.

 

Without good content, nobody cares for the site, so nobody will click your links. Without the links, nobody will see your content.

Both are equally as important.
