Iam developing a content site. I have a dilemma. Whether Should I make a single long page or break one page into multiple small pages. Will any of these methods effect how the SE view and rank my site. Also, can these(long vs small page) effect my potential earnings.
I don't think it will affect your rankings, as long as the sub-pages continue to be indexed The devshed network breaks up all articles and they have fantastic rankings. It may actually be better for revenue, as the ads will appear more frequently
Hi, Can all your content grouped under one title? SE ranked sites by pages and each page has an unique title. If all the content fall under the title for a page, then I would say put them together. However, if you are targeting narrower keywords resulting in a more specific niche, it is advisable to break up the pages into further unique titles and content.
All search engines are looking for content--a site with just one page will likely be ignored. You also have to consider keyword density--unless you use your main keywords in every sentence on a long page all the other words will water down the density. Also having a lot of pages helps the home page gain PR if they are linked back to the home page and internlink also.
