Content really is king, but here are 3 tips to keep in mind for SEO. Once you have these 3 tips done, you can basically focus solely on content. 1. Get your keyword (only focus on like 2-4) in your title, html head & about once per paragraph for your article. 2. Get some basic backlinks. Get some relevant posts with a backlink on a relevant site, link your site to itself, submit to directories once your site has like 5 pages of content+ done, sig your site on forums. Just the basics. 3. Good coding. Research how to get your site W3C standardized, even though many high traffic sites don't do this. Also you can add meta tags to your coding for your keywords as well. This is more of a bonus thing, not really crucial to a site's success, but can help.
