can anyone tell me... how can i stop the content of my blog from being copied. I have started a new blog and m developing it... but what if the content gets copied and i am penalised!!!
I think there is nothing as such you can do to protect the content. Just this that you can place a copyright statement that's it. If anyone has some idea... do share
I was wandering about this as well. Does google recognize where the information first came from? This could be an issue for higher pr domains stealing info from lower ones.
i doubt that google has some system to track down from where the information came first.. but then again.. isnt there any way to stop copying blog contents??? i have opened a blog under blogger... so even if i write a copyright statement.. what is a validty of the same.. i am jus writin in on my own!! if anybody has any info on the same... kindly share...
It does not need much money if you want to start your own blog... if you are so much worried about the content... my suggestion if to start your own blog under your website... everything you will be getting is readymade and you can start in just a click....
Are they copy and pasting, or stealing your feed? I've written a few tips on preventing your feed being stolen: http://internetmarketingsucks.com/b...logs-or-anyone-stealing-your-content-via-rss/ http://internetmarketingsucks.com/blog/2007/07/27/easily-add-a-footer-to-your-rss-feed/ http://internetmarketingsucks.com/blog/2007/09/19/screwing-with-sploggers-content-thieves/
I would not worry about this until it actually happens. Then you decide what to do. There are couple of options. Search the forums since this was discussed many times...
I had my content completely copied and luckily the copying site was under my hosting company.. i just suspended it!
If your content is copied automatically then just throw in some links to your own blog or other posts on your blog and those will be copied also (then at least you have some traffic generated). What do you think about it?
Add copyright message to feeds with a link back to you that appears in feed only not in post....it will appear where copied stuff are placed b'coz most copy is done usaing rss feeds...(use postPost wordpress plugin find it in ma blog http://bloggingtruths.com) Also verify your blog in google webmaster console and make a sitemap. So google would know you are d owner Ping the pinging services before the spammers do..
Install Google alerts. That will help you in tracking little bit on the phrases that get copied from your site. And are there any other methods of knowing if your stuff has been copied apart from running the article(s) through copyscape.com ?
