Content Network: Optimum Number of Keywords & Ad Group Per Campain

    Hello.

    I am doing a campaign on the Google Content Network only. What is the ideal number of keywords per Ad Group and What is the ideal number of Ad Groups per Campaign?

    For content, no more than the first 50 words are used to establish what the ad group is about. Remember, 'content' uses keywords differently than 'search', they're used to ascertain the theme of your campaign

    Exactly. You have to pick up the same theme keywords and then use them all in your adgroup. Your adgroup theme will decide the placment of your ads.

    How many ad groups per campaign should i use? Can i use 2,000 ad groups per campaign?

    yes you can use up to 2000 ad groups. anywhere from 5 to 50 keywords per ad group can work well, there is no magic number.

    oh i thought, the more keywords i use in per ad group the more impressions it would generate and in return higher CTR.
